The inclination sensor ZEROTRONIC features particularly the following characteristics:

  • High resolution and high precision
  • Excellent temperature stability
  • Measuring ranges of ± 0.5 to ± 60 degrees
  • Synchronized registration of measuring values for several sensors
  • Not sensitive to shock due to the fact that the pendulum is lightweight and has a limited travel
  • No influence by strong electromagnetic waves or strong electric fields

LINEARITY AND CALIBRATION
A substantial increase of quality over the existing systems was reached by using a specific mathematical process for the calibration of the ZEROTRONIC sensors, the +CLINOTRONIC PLUS+ and the CLINO 2000. The measured values between the calibration points will be computed by means of an interpolation with
a „spline“ function.

It is possible to recalibrate the sensors if needed at any later time. Practice has shown that calibrating points being about 10% of the measuring range apart are sufficient for receiving excellent results. The calibration data is stored in the sensor head.

ZERO-POINT AND LONG-TERM STABILITY
Based on the factors listed hereafter, an excellent stability of the zero-point and the long-term drift can be assured:

  • Symmetric construction
  • The pendulum contains near to no internal tension at the zero-point
  • The two condensers have the same capacity in Zero position
  • The transformation into frequencies is done by a single RC-Oscillator
  • All resistance‘s are connected symmetrically
  • All parts relevant for the metrology are made of the same material
  • Metallic connection by laser-welding technology, thus giving minimum and only localized heating to the sensor and the sensor housing during production
