SHIP BUILDING / DETERMINATION OF DEVIATIONS IN PARALLELISM

Precise inclination measurement on unstable bases as they exist on a moored vessel on the water are a huge challenge. 

 

Measuring task:

On a large ship moored in a harbor, the deviations from parallelism for several platforms must be determined. Based on this, the platforms shall be aligned afterwards. This should be done as efficiently and precisely as possible

HEELING MEASUREMENT ON A SHIP

Subject:

Part of the homologation and certification of a ship is the measuring of the heeling: The buoyancy is measured as a function of the load and specifically of the maximal load. By pumping water into the ballast tanks, or by loading containers, the heeling of the ship is changed. Thereby certain limits of heeling may not be exceeded.

 

Measuring task:

On a ship which is at moored in a harbor, the inclination, or heeling, should be measured during a loading test.
