nivelSWISS-D
The inclination measuring instrument nivelSWISS is well known and well established in the machine tool industry. nivelSWISS-D is the consequent further development of the classic nivelSWISS:
- Stable cast iron body
- Ergonomic handle supporting accurate measurement even on vertical surfaces
- Well-proven measuring system
- Digital display allowing the full utilization of the accuracy of the measuring system. Furthermore, the digital and back-lit display allows excellent readability even under difficult light conditions
- The display can be inclined to allow optimal readability from above
The nivelSWISS-D is the ideal symbiosis of the well-proven measuring system of the nivelSWISS and the simple handling of digital WYLER measuring systems.

Measuring technology:
Analog measuring technology with inductive probe system. The mechanical pendulum is friction-free suspended and has therefore the tendency to swing back to the vertical position. At the lower end of the pendulum a ferrite core is fastened, which penetrates a double winded coil fed by alternating current. Digital display of the measuring data.
nivelSWISS-D is available in two versions:
nivelSWISS-D HORIZONTAL VERSION
With a horizontal flat measuring base, equipped with slots for screwing onto special measuring bases (i.e. granite measuring bases) or on customers‘ own special measuring equipment. Mainly used for the adjustment or alignment of horizontal machines and for checking the flatness of machine tables and
guideways.
nivelSWISS-D ANGULAR VERSION
Equipped with two prismatic measuring bases in rectangular position to each other for measuring flat surfaces and shafts (diameters Ø 20 ... 120mm) horizontally or vertically.
The measuring faces are carefully hand scraped to obtain an extraordinary precision. This makes the nivelSWISS-D extremely suitable for adjustments or checks on rectangular geometrical components of machine tools and structures.
Calibration Certificate

The nivelSWISS-D can be delivered with an internationally recognised Calibration Certificateagainst a surcharge

MACHINE TOOLS / ROTATION CHECKS
Measuring task / Goal:
A machine tool must be checked on possible geometrical deviations. The check must show up eventual rotations of the table during displacement. The measurement of geometry should be made in a quick, reliable and simple procedure and thus with a good cost-benefit effect.

MEASURING - CALIBRATION / FLATNESS MEASUREMENT, ANGLES
Measuring task / Goal:
The calibration of granite master squares should be performed as easily and efficiently as possible. The equipment used should offer a good cost-benefit relationship and requirements regarding the qualification of staff should be as moderate as possible, enabling workshop staff to easily make use of the system.
MEASUREMENT OF THE ABSOLUTE POSITION OF A GUIDEWAY
Measuring task / Goal:
For a guideway not only its straightness but also its deviation from the horizontal plane shall be measured. Furthermore it should be determined where and how much should be corrected to adjust the guideway horizontally.
FLATNESS MEASUREMENT ON A CIRCULAR SUPPORT OF A TURN TABLE
Measuring task / Goal:
The flatness of a circular support with 2.3m diameter has to be measured.
MEASUREMENT OF A CIRCLE ON A ROUND TABLE OF A GRINDING MACHINE
Measuring task / Goal:
The flatness of a rotating table of a grinding machine with a diameter of
3200 mm has to be measured. Thereby only the flatness of a circle has to be measured and not the whole table.
MEASUREMENT OF PITCH AND ROLL ON A GRINDING MACHINE
Measuring task / Goal:
On a large surface grinding machine with guide ways with a length of 18m and a distance of 1.3 m pitch and roll have to be checked regularly. The maximum tolerance is 0.1 mm/m.
