Clinotronic S

The Clinotronic S is a portable precision instrument for measuring inclinations up to ±45°.

The Clinotronic S builds on the success of the Clinotronic PLUS. It retains those features of the Clinotronic PLUS that made it famous, like its reliability and versatility, and adds the latest technology:

Wireless functionality

 

Clinotronic S can be connected to an Android™ or iOS™ device, which can then be used as remote display. This new feature makes the instrument much more versatile and opens new applications.

Furthermore each Clinotronic S is supplied with the wylerCONNECT MINI, a Bluetooth® USB-communication module.

The wylerCONNECT MINI allows to send data from the Clinotronic S units to a laptop. This ensures a more efficient adjustment of machines.

Data transmission via cable

It goes without saying that data transmission via the USB cable to a laptop is possible as well. 

Excellent display 

The large color display with low power consumption is backlit and has a high contrast. It therefore provides excellent readability even under adverse conditions like a workshop or under a machine.

User friendly 

The completely redesigned Man-Machine-Interface allows a very intuitive handling.

Adjusted to local gravity 

To ensure best possible accuracy the Clinotronic S can be adjusted to local gravity.

ALIGNMENT OF THE ETCS-RADAR ON A LOCOMOTIVE

Subject:

The Doppler-Radar which is measuring the exact speed of a train is an important part of the ETCS train control system in Europe. 2 such radars are mounted under each locomotive. To ensure a correct functioning, they must be precisely aligned.  

 

Measuring task: 

Precise alignment and regular checking of the parallelity of the lower side of the radars to the rail.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING / MACHINE TOOLS / ADJUSTMENT ANGLE OF A TOOL

Measuring task / Goal:

Checking the adjustment angle of a tool on a large rotating lathe. 

FORMULA 1 CAR RACING

Measuring task / Goal:

Checking and precise adjustment of the wheel mounting, particularly of the wheel camber. These checks and adjustments are carried out between the different training laps to optimize the values for the actual race.

MAPPING A GOLF GREEN

Measuring task / Goal:

Mapping of the inclinations on the Green areas of a Golf course.

Some golf courses in England measure the flatness of the „Green“ in a simple way. A special vehicle has been constructed, on which two CLINOTRONIC are mounted in a right angles to each other.

 

Both are connected to a small printer. The green is checked according to a pre-set pattern and at each measuring point, after a short stop, the inclination angles determined in the two directions are recorded and printed.

CALIBRATION OF TESTING MACHINES

Measuring task:

Many testing machines, like those used for impact testing, require precise angle setting. They therefore must be recalibrated regularly. 

RADIO ONCOLOG / CALIBRATION ON LINAC MECHANICS

Subject: 

In order to keep service downtime of the Linac as short as possible, en efficient and accurate way to calibrate Gantry settings, collimator angle and to adjust Couch Roll is needed.

 

Measuring task / Goal:

The small dimensions (100x75x30 mm) and the light weight (485 Gramm) together with the 4 precise measuring bases situated around the periphery, make the CLINOTRONIC Plus  the ideal instrument for the calibration task.

AIRPLANE CONSTRUCTION: MEASURING THE PROFILE OF AN AIRPLANE PROPELLER

Subject:

In production, the profile of an airplane-propeller is measured with the help of a CMM. During maintenance work it would be cumbersome to remove the whole propeller and rarely there is a CMMs available on smaller airports.

 

Measuring task:

The profile of a propeller must be measured easily and precisely on site without the need to remove the propeller.

MEASURING OF THE INCLINATION OF THE ROAD SURFACE

Subject:

Roads are cambered in the middle to ensure a proper drain of the rainwater. The inclination of this camber must be within certain tolerances to guarantee a safe driving.

 

Measuring task:

The inclination of the road must be measured regularly during the placement of the road surface to ensure that the inclination remains within the tolerances. The measurements must be made by road workers at various temperatures (summer and hot tar) and even at insufficient light conditions (evening).

ALIGNMENT OF SOLAR PANELS

Subject:

Solar panels must be perfectly adjusted to the sun to ensure best possible performance.

 

Measuring task:

The inclination of each single solar panel must be verified periodically. A measuring range of up to ±60° is required.

SCREW PUMP / ADJUSTMENT OF GRINDING ANGLE

Subject:

The performance and efficiency of a screw pump is strongly depending on the precision of the 2 screws.

 

Measuring task:

Precise adjustment of the grinding angle during production of the screws. This task is impeded by the fact, that during adjustment the display of the instrument cannot be seen.
