7.2 LONG-TERM MONITORING OF DAMS, BRIDGES OR BUILDINGS

For more complex applications one of the many Geo-Monitoring Systems available on the market can be
used. Many of these systems already have established interfaces to WYLER sensors or their interfaces
can easily be programmed.
Such systems are very well suited for short- or long-term monitoring of objects when several parameters
like temperature, dilatation, inclination or others, have to be automatically registered, analyzed and graphi-
cally visualized. Typical objects are dams, bridges, buildings, tunnels or e.g. windmills. The collected data
can then be analyzed and visualized either locally or remotely.
