          1.11 LINEARITY

        Definition:
                                                Angle
The word “linear“ comes from the Latin word linearis, output
which means created by lines. Usually, the term is used to measuring
        describe a linear character. instrument
Often, the basis between a measured quantity and the
measurement signal (e.g. the output of the measuring ins-
trument or the voltage of a sensor) is a linear function. The
                                                                        nominal
aim for a measuring device is proportionality and a small characteristic
        error of linearity.
                                                               maximum error
                                                               of linearity

                                                                          Angle
          LINEARITY ACCORDING TO DIN 2276:
Measured value below half the measuring range:
         Maximum error f max = 0,01 * IM I, at least 0.05% (BlueLEVEL at least 1 digit 0.005% M ) of the
                                                            ^ =
                               v
                                                                     f
         measuring range M
                      f

For measured values above half the measuring range: M : Measured Value
         Maximum error f = 0.01 (2 * IM I - 0,5 * M ) v
